As a
professional photographer, my career spans more than fifteen years.
My early works show the influence of famous photographers such as
Edward Weston, Paul Strand, August Sander, and Robert Frank.
They not only inspired me immensely but also led me to strive for
excellence.
Edward
Weston said, "The camera should be used for a recording of life,
for rendering the very substance and quintessence of the thing
itself, whether it be polished steel or palpitating flesh." It is
also my guiding principle. I believe the only way to find the
unusual side of real life is to explore the world by the simplest
and most direct method. I believe in the value and power of the
natural world because everything around us, great or small, is the
creation of the All Mighty.
Nowadays,
I like to use cameras of 4"×5" in. or 6×4.5cm, mostly
for B&W pictures. In most cases I could produce an excellent
negative. Nearly all the pictures on this web site are produced from
the original negative.
I
realize that my experience in taking pictures with
large-size-film is relatively limited but I am determined to keep my
work and improve my skill in the days to come. I look forward to
communicating with other professional B&W photographers around
the world through this web site. As I witness China's rise and
record the unprecedented changes in China, I would be very happy to
share my experience with fellow photographers who are interested in
this regard.
Thanks
for visiting my web site and I look forward to hearing from you.
